Guidelines

Pensacola Christian College takes a conservative stand on music, and we ask participants to choose music that is suitable for a traditional church setting.

  • The music competition is an opportunity for you to use your talents for the Lord. Choose a song that is God-honoring, workable for your talent, and representative of what would be in a Teen Extreme camp service. Lyrics should be distinctly Christian. Music in the style of contemporary Christian, country, jazz, rock, rap, R&B, or pop should not be used. Due to time constraints, instrumentalists should avoid classical pieces.
  • Limit music selections to three minutes or less.
  • Performances may be a cappella or with accompaniment (piano is provided). Conservative soundtracks can be used but must be approved by the camp songleader when you sign up after the evening service.
  • Each church may have a maximum of three participants/groups in each category.
